There have been important changes for all FFMVic staff and contractors for the tree hazard management system that we will be using for this 2021/22 fire season.
What’s New?
JSOP 08.03 – Tree Hazard Fire was recently updated and approved by the Emergency Management Commissioner and the other emergency agency Chiefs. The changes will become effective from 1st November 2021.
The symbols used to mark and identify hazard trees on the fireground are changing to align with AFAC’s National Standard. These new marking symbols will establish consistency between jurisdictions and help avoid interstate and cross border confusion at incidents. For more information on the changes see the Tree Hazard Awareness page on GoFirefighter
Updated Online Training Courses
There are two important online training courses that have been launched today to help inform and retrain staff and contractors on the changes to JSOP 8.03.
